internet in order to avoid getting caught through mobile phone
intercepts, police say...."
But that's only half the story. Much of the issue goes in the other
direction: The Italian press apparently gets much of its information
from crime reporting from wiretaps, often of government officials! So
the government is trying to control both directions: Preserve its
ability to wiretap while stopping the press from doing so.
