This new crypto list seems to be ok... maybe he wants to just email the list
members who didnt already subscribe to both.

As to why the list is silent, who knows.
Because Perry is working on a PhD, an activity that -- if done properly --
takes a great deal of time. (At least, I try to make sure my PhD students work
that hard...)
I saw Perry two weeks ago and chatted with him yesterday. He said that he
hoped the list would be back on the air soon.
