you say this in jest, but i had a cable modem that was under intercept
continue to work for three years (carrying OpenVPN UDP traffic) while
never paying a dime further on the account.

this is but a tame example of fiscal absurdity related to interception
infrastructure; it is big business and truth is stranger than fiction!
