How using CFB/ OFB or CTR Modes for file?

I'm ought to encrypt/decrypt files and strings in a.m. Modes. But all I get is rubbish?   So what do I wrong?   (Using Crypto++ 4.1 on a Borland Builder 6.0)   Thanks for help!   Yours Kai
