License and Legal Implications

Is it possible to have an application released under the GPL, that also 
uses the crypto++ library?  The crypto++ library, unmodified, would be 
part of the project release.

Also, does anyone know if the legal implications or have any advice and 
recommendations for releasing such a project, making use of the crypto 
library on a website in the states?

I am looking at releasing a personal network related application, which 
makes use of RSA and twofish (and other symmetric block cyphers) and am 
wondering what this involves.
