With the recent NSA revelations I am looking to use a new curve in my app surespot. (https://www.surespot.me - shameless plug). I'm using crypto++ on the ios side. http://safecurves.cr.yp.to/ pretty much recommends against using any of the standard curves that come with crypto++. It seems that the curves they recommend are edwards or montgomery curves. Looking at this page http://www.cryptopp.com/wiki/Elliptic_Curve_Builder it appears as though crypto++ can only accept weierstrass curve parameters. Is this true? Is this because the edwards and montgomery curves equations require implementation in crypto++?
