Do you get any error messages when debugging with VS2012? Does the "crash" appear to be reported by Windows (like Access violation) or by Crypto++ (illegal argument)? My suspicion is that you read too far at some point in your code causing the crash.
And please, please don't use plain std::strings to store sensitive data in RAM, it may not get wiped. Please use Crypto++'s SecBlock (via FixedSizeSecBlock and SecByteBlock).
