Hi Everyone,

Google Summer of Code 2016 is around the corner. See the FAQs
<https://developers.google.com/open-source/gsoc/faq> and timeline
<https://developers.google.com/open-source/gsoc/timeline> for more
information.

I would like to submit Crypto++ as a mentoring organization. The mentoring
organization has to meet a few program requirements. The two we need to get
a grasp on are Administrators and Mentors.

I think we need at least one more person for Backup Administrator and
Mentor. If I am reading the FAQ correctly:

  * Mentors will work with a student
  * Alternate Mentors are fallbacks
  * Backup Administrator is a fallback.

GSoC estimates ... "Five hours per student per week is a reasonable
estimate."

Is anyone available for the fallback administrator role? And is anyone
available for mentoring?

Also note... Applying and being accepted are not a given, so we could be
rejected. from "What kind of mentoring organizations should apply?"
(http://developers.google.com/open-source/gsoc/faq#what_kind_of_mentoring_organizations_should_apply):

Unfortunately, there are far more great open source projects than we can
work with, so if your project is highly niche or has very few users,
chances
are that your proposal will not be accepted.
