Uri, you might find this one useful: "GCC does not honor -march=native" 
(http://trac.macports.org/ticket/51642). It came out of our initiative to 
better support MacPorts.

For the longest time, I could not understand why you were using `-maes` 
(and friends) on the command line. I guess this explains it.
