"* some folks may object to the gimmick Microsoft runs and the expiring trial"
As I keep reminding people, this is a misrepresentation of the actual situation - the Community Edition does not expire, as long as once a year you log in using any email address you have ever had associated with Microsoft. For instance, do they still send you email because you were once an MSDN type? Or, on the unlikely chance that you are an experienced Windows dev that doesn't have one of these, just go to login.live.com and associate any email address you wish with your FREE Microsoft account, and viola! You can now partake of all the almost-identical-to-Professional "Community Edition" for VS 2015. So, yes, I am certainly in favor of moving into the actual current decade in terms of dev tools. :) On Fri, Sep 9, 2016 at 12:59 PM, Jeffrey Walton <noloa...@gmail.com> wrote: > > On Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 3:14:13 AM UTC-5, Jeffrey Walton wrote: >> >> Hi Everyone, >> >> I know some folks have been chomping at the bit for this one...
