Hi, I have built an email sending tool. I'd like to have it send encrypted email. I have not found any example on how to do this. What I did find is: https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4880 But right now I am still very unsure about terminology and concept.
- Is, for example, the "session ID" from the RFD something like an initializationVector in Crypto++? - Would you regard it doable to encrypt am email using common specs so that an eMail setup and sent by this could be decrypted by off-the-shelf software? - Any ideas for a good read on this / an Open Source implementation of something similar?
