What happens if your remove your old version of blender2crystal, and then install a version from cvs? You can download a CVS version from: http://delcorp.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/blender2crystal/scripts/ by hitting the 'download this directory in a tarball' link. That *should* solv your problem... it solved it for me (but I'm on gentoo.)

My Blender version is 2.37a .

I'm using python 2.3.5, python suite 0.99cvs20050418 and
the imaging library 1.1.5 .

Switching versions will cause heavy trouble for a regular
debian (sid) user :-(

Is there anyone out there using debian (sid) with a working
possibility to use blender for CS modelling with blender2crystal?

If so, could he/she send the output of 'dpkg -l' so that I can
look for differences.
