Hi everyone, Now as we just passed May 14th and there are less than two months left until its time for the second Crystal Space Conference I thought I'd give you some updates on what is happening. Sorry for the lengthy mail, hope you bear with us :)
- Sessions/Presentations - As you can see on the webpage we are getting more and more sessions however there are still room for a few more. So, if you are interested in presenting your CS project, talk about some specific CS or CEL feature, present a novel art or programming technique or anything really which is more or less related to CS, CEL, game/3d application development or just of general interest to people, don't hesitate but step up. The session deadline is today (15th), however the scheduling won't be done until Sunday afternoon ;) If you are unsure if your idea is interesting or want some help with refining it just mail us or find me or jorrit on irc. - Participant registration - A conference/convent won't be worth arranging unless there are participants who are there to listen to presentations, discuss CS and game coding etc, so come join us. We have now determined a final deadline for registration and that is 15th June, that is one month from now. However, if you already now know that you will attend I would like to urge you to register as soon as possible as it helps us plan the event better. - Practical information - To help you plan your travel to and stay in Aachen we've created a page on the wiki (http://crystalspace3d.org/main/Conference2007-VisitorInformation) where we will collect travel and lodging information as we find it. There are also more information in several languages to be found at http://www.aachen.de If someone plans to stay at the youth hostel you normally need a membership card (not sure of exact cost, but I think something around 20 euro); however the people at ZLW/IMA have told me that they can arrange so that this is not needed. So, anyone staying at the youth hostel can mail me (no later than june 15th) with their name and how many nights they are staying and you will not have to get a membership. Schedule for the conference will be determined in draft somewhen during next week and finalized shortly after. The general idea is to have same start/end times as last year which means: - Registration Saturday 9-10, start at 10. - Last session ends at between 18 and 19 on Saturday. - Sunday approximatly 10 to 17. Any questions or comments can be sent to me or jorrit. - Marten ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
