Have you double-checked that you have no typographical errors in the  
value of CRYSTAL (and that you spelled CRYSTAL correctly)? For  
instance, if you invoke 'ls -l $CRYSTAL', does it succeed?

If all else fails, it might be a good idea to supply a rafb.net paste  
of the output of 'sh -x cs-config --cxxflags' (and also a paste of  
your generated cs-config file).
