I'm happy to announce that six students have been accepted for Crystal Space for the GSoC program. The accepted students are:
Claudiu Mihail for the visibility culling project (mentor Mike Gist) Joseph Forte for the deferred shading plugin (mentor Frank Richter) Mohit Taneja for the advanced lighting for lighter2 project (mentor Scott Johnson) Alexandru-Teodor Voicu with real time hair simulation and rendering (mentor Christian Van Brussel) Eduardo Poyart with automated progressive LOD generation and management for CS (mentor Jorrit Tyberghein) Leonardo Domingues with integration of Recast & Detour into CEL and hierarchical pathfinding algorithm implementation (mentor Andrew Dai) Congratulations to all of you! I'm very happy for these students but of course I'm also sad that many other good proposals didn't make it. Unfortunatelly google only assigns that many slots to us and to be honest, we got six slots this year which is the most we've ever got so far. So we really can't complain too much. If you are one of the other students then of course you are free work for CS as a volunteer. For the accepted students we will soon set up branches in svn for every student. Please remember to stay in contact with your mentor and the rest of the CS team.
