Hi, I successfully imported a bunch of example users and posts from an SMF forum (the forum software used by the CrystalSpace Forums) to Drupal by first importing to phpBB with the SMF-to-phpBB converter [1] and then to Drupal with phpBB2Drupal [2]. I needed to change a few lines in the latter because it assumed the administrator user to have the user id 2 - which apparently wasn't the case when converting from SMF - but after that, everything went smoothly, though.
Here are some screenshots of the little example SMF forum I set up (now that I have some webspace from my university, I don't need to attach large amounts of images anymore!): http://www2.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~washingd/smf1.png http://www2.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~washingd/smf2.png http://www2.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~washingd/smf3.png And here is the result of the import: http://www2.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~washingd/drupal1.png http://www2.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~washingd/drupal2.png http://www2.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~washingd/drupal3.png As not many fancy features are used in the current CrystalSpace forums (e.g. no avatars, attachments or signatures, as far as I can see), importing that should work just as well. (But you never know...)
