Hi,

Yet another update on the progress of the proposed new website:

First of all, the screenshots on the front page are now clickable for a
bigger preview and - if clicking on that - the image in its original
size (which means we now seriously need more really beautiful demos for
really beautiful screenshots ;). Also, it is now possible to attach
icons to news items which will then be shown on the front page - see the
test news.

Also, the MediaWiki received several improvements. Thanks to the
AuthDrupal extension [1], It is now integrated with the Drupal user
database, allowing for single sign-on. Try it yourself: just use the
username "foo" (password "foo") to log in in the forums and go to the
wiki to see if you're logged in there, too, and vice versa. The same
works also for logout, naturally. Furthermore, I went through several
special pages and improved their looks, for instance the search result
listings look quite a bit better now. And best of all, I finally figured
out how to sensibly put the page action links (Edit, History etc.) above
the page content instead of having them in the sidebar, making them much
more discoverable (and the sidebar shorter).

So all in all, the following TODO items are still left from the TODO
list I posted last time:

* [Trac] Load top navgation links from Drupal database (currently they
are hard-coded)
* [Forums] Add support for watching forum topics (= receive e-mail
notifications)

There is one TODO item that I forgot to add last time, though: single
sign-on integration of Trac with Drupal. It seems that the Haiku project
website has, or had, something like this [2], so I sent them an e-mail
to ask how they did it.

That's it for now. For the case I don't post anything here this or next
week, I wish you all a great joyful Christmas!

Denis
