Hi James,

A couple of questions of this one...

Is the content inclusive of the changes to funding through joining of
TradeNZ and IndustryNZ?

Also, is it likely to offer more detail than we received at the CDC
launch programme this year.

The reason I'm asking is that this seminar is on the same night as the
NZ GIS user group meeting at ECAN which I've already committed to
attend.

Cheers, Geoff

funding schemes are out there, the types of rules under which such
schemes operate, and where to get help.

The CDC offers many services to help businesses grow. It manages its own
development funds and schemes, and also acts as an agency on behalf of
central government, administering funding applications and projects.

Venture capital funding - Grant Ryan, RealContacts Ltd
Another source of funding is via venture capital. The New Zealand
Venture Investment Fund (VIF), established in 2001, is a programme of
equity investment designed to accelerate the development of the venture
capital market in New Zealand. Through VIF the Government is investing
NZ$100 million over three years in innovative New Zealand businesses.

How to prepare funding applications - Jane Shearer, ResolutioNZ

talk about how to approach proposal writing.

Successful Companies: The Deloitte/Unlimited Fast 50 - Brett Chambers,
Deloitte
The Deloitte/Unlimited Fast 50 is an index of New Zealand's fastest
growing companies. Last year 25% of all the Fast 50 companies were in
the IT sector. The sector also accounted for nearly half the jobs
created by all Fast 50 companies. This presentation will outline the
Deloitte/Unlimited Fast 50 award scheme and will highlight key factors
for growth identified by previous award winners.

All speakers will allow time for questions at the end of their talk.
Handouts will be provided on how to get further help and information on
the various schemes.
