Hi folks,
  There are 70+ people on this forum right now, some are more
experienced in this medium than others, and we're just getting
started. So I thought I'd quickly mention a couple of traps to watch
out for:

* Remember, any message you send to
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" will go to EVERYONE -- so be sure
your reply is going to the right place if you intend it to be private. I
can't tell you the number of times I've been caught by this on other
email lists, so please just watch for it.

* When you reply to a message on the forum, please don't quote
the entire message in all its bulk at the end of your reply. Instead,
please try and pick out the relevant bits to which you are
responding, something like this example:

== example begins

Hmmm. So long as you start by furbling the glamonicon... (etc)

== example ends

* Because it is sometimes very hard to convey essential nuances
in this medium, appropriate "email body language" is actively
encouraged. This includes grins <g>   or smiley's :-),   frowns-if-you-
must }-( and the odd EMPHASIS or *emphasis*. But please,
DON'T EVER SHOUT AT EVERYONE. Oh, and if you should have
any problem with the forum or its content, please email me about it
privately.

Those helpful pointers aside, the paramount rule of the forum
remains: let's be hearing from *you* on any subject which helps the
some or all of us earn more export dollars for our software! Now
would be a good time... <g>

cheers,
peter
