I do not support such a letter for the same reason that a number of those on
the list support it.  ie.  Its adoption or otherwise will affect the
profitability of the company I work for.

In addition, I do not consider it justified to support a position that
another company should make its product open source when this company is not
prepared to do the same.  If we are prepared to say that Microsoft should
turn windows into OSS then we should impose the same standard on all other
software.

If companies want to sell product to the government then do so on the merits
of the product rather than first having the government take a discriminating
position against the opposition's product.
