The Australian Commonwealth Government has committed A$34.1 million over 5
years to the development of online educational materials. This budget is
expected to increase to A$68.2 million with contributions from State
Governments. 

Representatives from the Joint Venture organisation (SOCCI) that has
responsibility for managing the tendering process are visiting Christchurch
on Friday 21 September to explain how New Zealand curriculum developers can
participate in this opportunity.
