Do you know the true value of your business?
If you are looking to attract investment into your business, then you
will have to get your business valued. You are effectively 'selling'
part of your business when you accept outside capital. The main problem
you will find is that investors will usually offer much less than you
believe the business is worth. Valuing your business is one of the
hardest things you will ever have to do. This seminar will explain
clearly the issues in assessing what your business is worth to you and
investors, and arm you with the knowledge needed to negotiate a fair
price.

Grant Ryan will give an overview of the New Zealand Venture Investment
Fund (VIF) and provide valuable insight into his experience with potential
investors.

VIF is a programme of investment designed to accelerate the development
of the venture capital market in New Zealand. Through VIF the Government
is investing NZ$100 million over three years in innovative New Zealand
businesses. www.nzvif.com

John Walley from Adrenaline Ventures Ltd will be there to provide an
insightinto what investors look for when investing in a software or
technology company.

Adrenaline Ventures Ltd is a hands on venture capital company that
brings capital plus a range of skills to the Canterbury business
environment.
