I searched through this mailing list, looking for anything with 'cpu' in it
and what I found wasn't much.

Just thought I'd share what hardware I have CS:GO running on and the CPU
load I'm incurring.

We have a virtual server with 2 cores of Xeon 3.4 GHz with 4GBs RAM running
Windows 2008 64bit.

I only notice lag when we have 15v15. Server has a hard time keeping a
constant rate (I'm not running it with anything more than default, no 100
tickrate or anything). At the end of the rounds when the server is full
there is a very noticeable lag dealy (~1 second) before the end of the
round is announced.

Anyways, when the server is like this, I'll type 'rcon stats' and I see
that the CPU load is in the high 90's and I've even seen it as high as
105%. We run the classic casual game mode.

Is that amount of CPU usage normal for everyone else? When we have 20-26
players, there is no noticeable lag, just when we have 30. I've since
reduced the number of players to 26 + 2 spectators to help with the lag
complaints.

Now, when I go to the server and look at the performance, it shows total
CPU (between both of the cores) at around 60-75%. I am not utilizing
afinity since I don't think it's required, but I could be wrong.

Should I bump up another core, maybe get 6-8GBs RAM?
