I can confirm I also have problems with downloading maps from servers. I do not use .kV files. I have 4 maps all bz2'd, in the correct directory and mapgroup. Two download fine, the other 2 - I get that console spew which has been stated above. If it happens to only some maps whilst others download fine, there must be something wrong in the maps themselves to cause it not to download.
