Community servers are most likely the only ones that need to change mapgroups as they (we) tend to use custom maps on our servers. This game contains _same_ maps as the previous games had so it's likely most of us will start adding those in. Some already have but game lacks features on releasing maps properly. No proper loading screen for example.
I do agree that community servers might be better off with plain mapcycle file but the new system is nothat bad after changes and getting used to it.
