Actually, in this case, when I join the server, if there is noone on, I
get stuck looking at the screen after you select a team, and nothing
else happens, making populating the server impossible.

spectating cannot move and you cannot change the one you are
spectating. If the one you spectate dies, the one who kills him (or
the one your camera will switch), he also cannot move any longer. One
