I'm more with Eric on this matter. The fact that Valve targets
competitive players and players wanting to play on Valve servers (of
course, some of us are valve fanboys in the early years, like i have
been) but they don't know of any better servers.
I have been thinking a lot of shutting our community csgo server down,
simply because we don't have enough people wanting to play the same old
maps over and over like the competitive people do. The game doesn't
provide much to the public side and Valve does not support custom maps
that much yet, so having custom maps on a server is instant killshot for
the most. Also not enough players on our region to all servers out here.
It's a lot easier at the US side than far north in europe.

Tried filling up cs:go servers like i do with tf2, get a few
people on it and wait for quickplay. Only to notice that the
pinion servers get all the traffic anyways. Seeing that he has to
wait 20 minutes it doesn't do anything at all anymore towards
community. Time to shut them down, a pitty..

I still don't understand the logic of people wanting to play
on official server over community servers. In every fashion
they are simply not as good...
But hopefully Valve enables what you need.

party from my steam groups because friends on my steam
account have reached limit. How I can invite some people
from my steam groups without add as friend to my steam
account? I hope valve please make simple to invite some
people without add as friends to my steam account like in
dota 2!!!
