I have already tried that and it didn't change anything. Could it be a problem with the Steam servers? It's really weird because just two days ago I successfully installed a new CS:GO server using exactly the steps I've mentioned.

Try force_install_dir /home/cs/csgo2 or whatever the full path is?

Hi there guys,

I'm trying to install a new CS:GO server. I have used SteamCMD in the
past and I've successfully installed a CS:GO server in the past.

Today though when I try to install a new server I keep getting this
error "ERROR! Failed to install app '740' (Invalid platform)"

My forlder structure is the following

home:

----steamcmd

----csgo2

And here are the commands that I give in while in the steamcmd folder:

login *** ***

force_install_dir ../csgo2/

app_update 740 validate

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 x86_64 with
ia32_libs installed.

Thanks in advance.
