Yes, it is annoying especially during MM. Last night I had to reconnect 5x in a MM match till it finally didn't crash. I had another match where is was 3x, and another where it was 1x only. I don't see a pattern, once it loads past that MOTD, you should be fine to play, as I was. Just keep reconnecting.
