ASW+ (L4D2, Portal 2, CS:GO, and Dota 2) all have this regression. Depending on Windows version, the game will also repeatedly mute your microphone. I believe I filed a bug on GitHub before they announced it, so maybe that's why it was never looked at? I doubt it's that they don't care about global breakage on all platforms that aren't Windows 7+. This isn't a problem on Source 2k7, just 2k9.
