What it boils down too and the root of the issue is Valve dropped the ball and
didn't lock down the SDK enough to keep the cheater kids from cheating. VAC
needs to be brought into the computer age and offer a real time detection and
remediation for cheaters, this 2 weeks after the fact stuff just doesn't cut it
in the fast moving world of internet gaming.

The rest of the topic relates to the fact that there are some (more than not)
admins and server ops that get a power rush out of being an admin. I've seen
firsthand admins provoke, intimidate and harass gamers on their servers just to
show everyone how much power they have (albeit it's not real power). These are
the folks that need to be removed from the equation, these badmins. They
devalue the games people spend good money on. This "doing the community a
favor" attitude is a poison, everyone knows that's its the gamers that make a
game fun or worth playing not the servers or the admins. Operating a server is
one of the easiest and simplest things to do. Any retard can have a server. To
have a good server, one that gamers actually like, is the hard thing to do. I
remember back in the day when all the best servers were the ones with absentee
operators, people would game for hours without being bullied by small minded
individuals that think they know what people want.

In summation these are just games, kids. Stop pretending your offering
universal healthcare and feeding the hungry.
