Well i run a
Dell PowerEdge 410
2 x 2.4 Ghz E5620
32 GB DDR3
15.000 rpm hd's
Debian 7.2 and i have 4 x 12 slots server 128 tickrate but all still running
64, this is the 1st time ever we have that problem.
so someone made a big coding error in last update ( anyone here ???)

BTW I know people running
Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2643 v2 (25M Cache, 3.50 GHz)
with the same problems...
Maybe we need NSA servers to run CSGO now?

My CSGO servers uses 1 core each and I have major problems.

I spent 3 months bugging the crap out of the CSGO team only to be finally
told "buy servers with better CPUs (faster per thread speed)"
There seems to be a threading issue whereby if you have 4x 2.0GHz cores,
with the process spanned over 4 CPUs in 4 threads, this should effectively
allow the process to reach 4x 100% of CPU threads. Unfortunately this
isn't the case, when you get the equivalent of 100% of a thread ie: 4x 25%
the server starts dropping tick, var goes through the roof because of
wildly fluctuation FPS.
My only suggestion is, get yourself a bunch of E3-1240 / 1270 cheap boxes,
yep - shitty CPU's however they're 3.4Ghz+, threading issue gone, you'll
never look back.
We have seen this behaviour in TF2 as well as they share a common engine.
Enjoy :)

It's evident in a lot of different ways that this game is not designed for
the community to host any game servers at all. I have stopped bothering.
