I think you've hit the nail right in the head. I can't believe Valve is such an underdeveloped company despite being billions in revenue. Valve only has around 330 employees for A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY. That's not just developers, that's EVERYONE. Support teams, QA, financial, you name it. That's not nearly as big as many companies' support teams! Pretty sure Valve just provides a playground for their developers and say, we don't care what you do as long as it brings us money. At least it seems that way.
