Welcome to the world of wonderfull server hosting. This is familiar to
everyone who runs TF2 servers.
I don't think Valve doesn't want us to run servers anymore, they rather
throw money in themselves. I've been considering quitting for some time now.

For obvious reasons? Idle servers that allow you to complete your
missions easily, plugins that make it easier to complete missions and
dilute the market. It's how it was always going to work.
