Not to sound the sour note, but: Csound is already covered by the MIT
license, and I would like to be absolutely positive that the license
permits this sort of placement.
And as Nicolai points out, the unofficial version already has its own CVS,
mail-list, and source tree. I may be wrong, but the distinct impression
I've received over the years is that jpff has had neither the time nor the
inclination to establish a CVS for Csound. The current maintenance system
seems to be what Barry Vercoe and John prefer, and they are the
controlling interests. I have no quarrel with that system, particularly
since the unofficial Linux version is perfect for my own needs, and no-one
has attempted to disallow its existence.
