'best' way is hard to know, as it depends on other stuff (ie you
mention other borders etc)
however, to remove borders from images (or anything else)..you have to
set the border property!
a img {border:none;} <--- images inside anchors
or
img {border:none;} <--- all images (including those in anchors)
