I sent you a screencap off-list of what happens in Win XP/IE6. The content runs over the footer.
actually the content didn't run over the footer but the footer's background escaped from the footer's div few pixels up and appeared under the main column.
i've fixed it using an additional div with new class for setting the background color of the footer. who doesn't need to set the bg color for the footer, he/she can ignore that new "fotterbgtrap" div workaround :-/.
