I'm putting two SPANs next to each other and specifying borders on both of them. However, I want the borders between them to collapse in the same way that table cell borders can do with border-collapse : collapse. However it does not appear to be working. After checking the www.w3.org site I am under the impression that border-collapse ONLY applies to tables. Is that correct?
If so then it seems that the proper way to achieve this effect is to only specify a right or left side border. Does that sound correct?
