The problem is in trying to horizontally center the #main div using
"margin: 0 auto;" and for some reason it is getting offset to the left of
center.
I've drawn a red border around the problem spot.

Houdini would be proud of you. It's an illusion. #main is centered. Everything else is offset because the *image* margins are wider on the left than on the right.
