Pardon me if I seem stupid -- I'm not an expert at this stuff -- but why do you have an <a> tag wrapped around your submit button? My guess is that this creates some ambuguity as to what's supposed to happen when the button is clicked. IE and Opera, when the button is clicked, are executing the button's action. Firefox, is, maybe, executing the <a> tag's action, which is merely to refresh the existing page.
