Subject: [css-d] Please Explain CSS Parser Hacks

I'm reading Eric Meyer's article on Tricking Browsers and Hiding Styles. I understand what he's saying and that the extra characters in the rules get
parsed in different ways.

But for me to really understand what's happening, though, I sure could use
an explanation of exactly what is making various parsers see various
results.

He says this code:

div#test {
 color: red;
 voice-family: "\"}\"";
 voice-family:inherit;
 color: green;
}

If you are new to this, take this opportunity to reconsider using parser hacks. There are more logical methods available that do not rely on software bugs as Gunlaug so eloquently stated. If you are interested, respond offlist as this topic usually gets snuffed on this mailing list pretty quickly :-)
