resubmitting this problem with stripped code:

I am using Roger Johansson's js technique for applying custom borders
and boxes (images) in which divs are dynamically added using js.  I am
using this technique on multiple areas of the site including the main
container, content box, and menu.

Things look good in FF.  As ever, IE is causing trouble.

There is too much space between the bottom shadow image and the
container. the problem remains until I comment out the '.main .bb' and
'.main .bb. div' definitions.

any suggestions?
