Posted this earlier - thank you to Jim, who helped out with problems 1 and 2. I need to get this site working today, and it needs to look good in IE 6 at the very least.

Dear All:

I'm having a couple of problems with a page in IE.

The page in question:
http://janaagraha.org/rahul/John/

Mockup - What I'm trying to achieve: (warning: >100kb)
http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=51803913&size=o

Problems:
1. FIXED
2. FIXED

IE-Specific:
3. I've put the text after the coloured boxes for the third and fourth navigation elements. This is causing the text to come on the right, not smoothly go to the next line like I'd like it to. 4. The whole page has shifted a *lot* more to the right in IE, compared to FF, noticeable at resolutions above 800*600. Is this because of the incorrect interpretation of the box model?

Opera 8.50:
5. Problem 3 applies here as well. This causes only one of the boxes (news) to drop down to the next line.

Firefox so far displays it closest to what I'm trying to do.

All other suggestions welcome. I'd appreciate hearing from all of you about what you think of the site (page, really), design, and code. I know I've got too many div tags in there, any suggestions on how to cut them down would be welcome.

Thanks a lot,
Warmly,
Rahul.

Note: All browsers XPSP2.
