Scott, Indeed a Windows install doesn't have Arial Narrow out of the box. Most of the common MS apps (home and business types) provide it though. See: http://tinyurl.com/ddws8 There really aren't any other condensed typefaces that are likely to be installed on more than a tiny percentage of Windows PCs. If you want a condensed sans-serif face it is the most likely. You absolutely cannot assume that everyone has it, but I think a reasonable percentage would have it. Felix's link suggests that about 85% of Windows users do have it.
