I deleted everything and started with a fresh menu in case I was doing
something wrong. I used the Horizontal setting with the default style and
added the code from your tutorial on the bottom line.

In Firefox & Opera, the width is dependant on the size of the text, and they
all line up across the page aligned to the left (so there's an empty gap to
the right - which I'd like to have all centered later, but it's no big deal
if I can't). In IE however, each menu item spans across the entire width of
the page and they are listed one under each other.

How do I fix this?
