THANKS EVERYONE!

I have some more fun stuff for you to see.

I have tested previous versions of this CSS / JavaScript drop down menu on
many browsers & both platforms.

These are sweet, SUPER SEARCH
<http://www.plattdaddy.com/rollovers/seo-friendly-drop.htm> ENGINE SPIDER
FRIENDLY DROP DOWN MENU! These are free for all! All hail open source! "If
every one shares their knowledge we will all gain it back exponentially in
return." - Me right now. So go ahead. Let me know if there are any browser
issues to address, of course, but I encourage you all to take a copy onto
your server and set up a testing area. Post a link to them if you really
like them:-)

So then here are my babies:

You will just need that file and the external .Js

Let me know if you can find anything else I could fix please let me know. I
have been working on these dropdown menu's for about 2years (on and off
obviously) and I am offering up to everyone to learn from, so that every one
can study, remake, refine, and in the spirit of the internet I offer up my
hard work free to the community (just as others have passed on tutorials and
clean code un-to me) to bring us closer to understanding the world we live
in and the drop down menu choices that are available for anyone to use.

I have used them in various locations:

http://www.artificialturfsupply.com/

https://www.remarkable-recovery.com/

All I ask is that you post a link to the menu if you like the menu solution
enough to re-use. It doesn't have to be on the site you use the drop downs
on or anything, because I know folks might end up using these for clients
and such.

Here is a version with images. This is an old version, it's clean, but I
recently made huge improvements, but take a peek:

http://www.plattdaddy.com/rollovers/cssjavadrop.htm

Just please post a link to my drop down menu somewhere you think people that
would want to use the menu will see it; so that as many web savvy people, as
possible, can find this menu solution and use it like I wrote it to used.

I am also making a tutorial to go along with the clean "ready to go" drop
down menus: http://www.plattdaddy.com/Drop-Down-Menu/

It still needs some work, but it should at least give an overview of using
the menus sooner or later.

Let me know if there are any browser issues that need to be addressed -

- Thanks & enjoy the menus -

There are many, I'm sure. http://www.anybrowser.com comes to mind

immediately. But I don't recommend using any of them. Their rendering

accuracy is always questionable!

With Firefox/Netscape, you can have as many different versions of that

installed on a Windows system as you like. To test on Linux browsers,

just use one of the many live-Linux CDs running around - Kanotix,

Knoppix, etc - and boot your PC from it.

My preference is to just cultivate friendships with people who use the

other browsers/platforms you want to test on. Gets me around the lack of

a Mac in my collection, for instance. There's also this site:

http://www.danvine.com/icapture/

It will go to your site using Safari, then post a screen capture. Lets

you see what it looks like.

Another possibility for testing Mac browsers is available for Linux or

Windows. The PearPC is a free PPC emulator that is able to install and

run Mac OS X. I understand it's not blazingly fast, but for testing

layout purposes, probably enough. I just upgraded my main desktop PC to

a Sempron 3000 processor, perhaps I'll try it out. Of course, then I may

wish that I'd saved my money for an Athlon64 instead! ;-)
