Welcome.  I'm sorry that your first post didn't appear to get any

No, definitely don't go back there. :-)

I can't help with your Mac problems, but it looks good in FF 1.5 and IE 
6 on WinXP.  Until, that is, I resize my text, and it all immediately 
overflows its boxes.  I suggest rebuilding your page without fixed 
heights so that it can grow to accommodate your content.  This would 
mean turning a strip of the background from the middle section into a 
tiling background image.
