Dave Massy of the IE team has written [1]:
"The change of the overflow behavior is the precursor to be able to
support [min/max width/height] properties. We are currently working on
implementing these..."

although he doesn't make any promises. But no, they aren't supported in
the current beta - although if you look through the IE Developers' Centre
(sorry, "Center") [2], you'll find a number of things which are intended
for the final release and aren't in this beta.
