francky Tip 1: For future compatibility-safety you can change the * html IE-hack in a Conditional Comment: <!--[if IE]> and so on. Then if IE7 would go another way, you can differentiate and give additional IE-guidelines if needed: <!--[if lte IE 7]>. Tip 2: For accessibility-safety you can have a look at the css-validator warnings about some refinements in the color/background-color pairs. Tip 3: The html-valid image is borrowed from the w3c-site. While w3c can be pretty busy every now and then, this can slower the download. Tip 4: Combining images can also speed up the download.
