Thanks Jesse, that actually allowed me to set the LEGEND 
absolute-positioned, although it's still unusable (as such)  It doesn't 
respect the 'top' property, and when used 'margin-top' the same margin 
is applied to FIELDSET too.  It also ignores the 'width' property.

        Opera does seems to understand all of these correctly (or that's what I 
think anyway) -and I don't even want to try IE right now- so the results 
are far of eachother in my opinion, hence too much of a hassle to use it 
as I first though.

        I still find it weird, how come Fx default style has "position:static 
!important"??  I can't imagine the w3c writing "UAs should set this 
property to 'static !important' by default for LEGEND elements" (or 
anything like that)  It's a little dissapointing coming from Fx.

        Anyway, thanks again for your answer.
